BOUDOIR & PINUP SHOOT
I booked a shoot with Paulina Czochra Photography on the 17th February 2016 and, after a 3-hour drive to Nottingham, I arrived over an hour late, like a true diva!!
Not that I am proud of my diva behaviour! In fact, I was quite embarrassed to be honest but after apologising profusely, I managed to sort out my barnet and slap on my lippy in no time at all!
By this point, I’d started to get a little nervous as I’d not really worked with a lot of different photographers before. Then I realised, Paulina was just as nervous as me! I have the ability to come across as being confident in any situation and quickly seemed to take over by telling Paulina about all the ideas I’d been coming up with based on her Pinterest boards.
Thankfully, we completely understood each other and it quickly became apparent that we were on the same wavelength. We got on so well and shared similar ideas, including the fact that we were both keen to shoot boudoir and cheese cake pinup.
I set up my cameras and filmed the whole shoot - so don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel. Paulina captures this along with a shot of me getting ready above.
I’d pin curled my hair the night before with my new tongs and, as I frantically unraveled and brushed out the curls, I was praying that they were going to stay in place. Believe me, it’s no easy task getting these things right and, when things don’t go as planned, it can have a huge impact on the whole shoot. Much to delight, my hair was light, curly and bouncy - perfect for pinup styling.
We shot a variety of different images including an adorable bedroom boudoir set, a couple of bikini beach pinup images.
One of my favourites is a strip tease set we shot for Delicious Dolls Magazine, being released this November.
The boudoir images below were shot for the incredible Orchid Corsetry.
I had so much fun shooting with Paulina and she says she enjoyed it too, which is always lovely to hear! Having worked mainly with clients who book boudoir packages for themselves, I think it was less pressure for Paulina shooting someone who already knew how to pose and position themselves. Of course, this also gave me a confidence boost as a model, knowing that I’ve actually picked up a few posing skills over the last two years.
I loved shooting new ideas and the feedback I’ve already received from my fans is testament to the fact that they obviously like the images too!
